That is kind of a typical Donegal July day—baring a severe thunderstorms or life threatening winds we are going to plan on doing the activities rain or shine which brings me to my next tip clothing!

Clothing to handle the Donegal weather

Pack likes its a fall weekend in Maine raincoats, jackets and comfortable shoes for rain. Especially if you are planning to head to the island and also climb Errigal in the rain.

Dress Code

All the events are casual but we are asking Saturday night party at our house 4th of July festive. Nora is wearing a sparkly dress and Trey will have a 4th of July bowtie. Red, white and blue and sparkles strongly encouraged. Overdressing is encouraged—break out your finest 4th of July feathers.

Amazing place great coffee and all day brunch. It is owned by my cousin Cliona daughter Aoife (many of you know her she worked in NYC). Aran works on a walk-in basis. Warning it gets crowded! Everything is delicious. Our family eats here all the time. It is closed on Tuesdays.

Gallagher’s Foodstore (Siopa Mhici), Main Road, Gweedore

Great source for everything (GAA tops, seaweed, organic honey) it is family owned supermarket that has everything including a wine and beer section. We love Siopa Mhici! ps…if you are avoiding someone don’t go there this is where you will see everyone in Gweedore!
